Hypnotherapy for Fear of Public Speaking

A smiling woman with long red hair stands in front of a whiteboard, actively engaging in a conversation.

For many of the clients I have worked with, the thought of speaking in a public setting can be mortifying. Whether that’s social, work-related, with family, new people, strangers, in social media posts, one to one, group settings, or pretty much any situation in which they feel exposed and at risk of judgement.

What is considered public speaking?

Maybe you hate small talk, maybe your mind just goes blank – or – maybe you feel you have nothing of value to say.

Then there’s fear of judgement – what will people think of me… will they think I’m stupid or boring?

You’re not alone – around 75% of people worldwide have a fear of public speaking!

How can hypnotherapy help me overcome my fear of public speaking?

With the use of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Hypnosis, we can reach the deeper layers of your subconscious, which is where your fears, anxieties and limiting beliefs about speaking in public reside.

Challenging negative thinking, focusing on positive outcomes and creating new empowering beliefs can be transformative.

This process builds confidence by facilitating behavioural change to support the cognitive and emotional shifts that take place.

Whilst I offer 1:1 therapy at my private therapy practice and online, I also run an 8-week Group Programme, one evening per week, locally here in Chelmsford.

Find out more about the programme here, and please get in touch if you’re interested: Effective Communication Skills Programme.
